My reflection

  1. The book I read was Killing Mr. Griffin and I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was very interesting and kept me wanting to read more.
  2. I thought the work was spread out relatively even through each member and working with a group made the project a lot more fun to do. I definitely like group projects more then solo projects.
  3. My takeaway from this project is to make sure I go into quite places when recording and make sure to fully plan out what I do when recording
  4. How was the use of technology in this project? Who did what when it came to the tech elements?
I liked the amount of technology involved in this project and April did most of the technology aspects and editing.

Edward Scissor Hands Storyboard

My Reflection

Tim burton in Edward Scissorhands, uses editing in order to focus on different thematic elements and create suspense and intensity. For example, when Edward, Jim and Kim were breaking into Jim’s house it would be constantly cutting making it look like everything was moving fast. It is also used in this scene to highlight important aspects, like when it cut to the door locking and then back to Edward looking really scared. The theme of this scene is that Edward will do whatever he thinks he can to impress Kim and he ends up being the one who gets in trouble even though he just wanted to help Kim, so sometimes you get blamed for things you didn’t do by yourself or just wanted to do to help someone else. Overall, Tim Burton did really well with this scene showing how Edward thinks and how much he cares for Kim but sometimes that backfires on him. The editing in this scene and movie makes the viewer feel more immersed into the movie and helps them understand how Edward feels as a character

Reflection On Using Storyboard That

I thought it was really easy to use and had a lot of good tools for making storyboards. It was easy to pick and simple to use. I learned how to work it relatively fast. I thought it had a decent utilization of the non paid version and I would definitely use it again. Overall a great software to use and I unexpectedly had fun using it.
