Why Japanese?

assorted Japanese foods

Inspiration:

A reason why I wanted to learn Japanese was because I was immersed by both the culture and their lifestyle. Learning Japanese would also be helpful to me as I’m planning on studying abroad or doing an exchange program to Japan once I’ve graduated. This will help me be more respectful to their cultures, as I will know more about what is respectful and what is disrespectful. Besides that I also enjoy learning about different cultures around the world including food and architecture.

Goal:

By learning Japanese, I will be able to both speak easily whenever I go to Japan or if I ever do an exchange program there and learn more intensely about their culture and lifestyle. This will be an achievement and a goal for me because I’ve also always wanted to learn a new language. Being able to speak fluently and read Japanese will also help with my hobby of reading books, as I’m also interested in Japanese literature.

Motivation:

A way to motivate myself is by always reminding my goal every time I lose motivation. As I’m interested in Japanese literature and their books, I feel like I wont lose motivation. Even so, I will try my best not to be unmotivated by reaching out to a friend that’s Japanese whenever I feel like giving up or in need of help.
