Inspiration

I was inspired to learn Japanese because of some Japanese artists and sculptors, I also find Japanese culture and the language itself interesting. I’ve always wanted to learn new languages proficiently but never found the time to. I chose Intro Japanese 11 as an elective so I could learn Japanese from a teacher and ask questions.

Goal

My goal during Japanese 11 is to learn the basics of Japanese along with sentence structure so I can understand conversations in Japanese. I also want to be able to understand Japanese media including books, manga, anime, and artwork.

Motivation

In other language courses, I never found a “spark” in learning language. It always felt like a chore to study everyday to learn words and sentence structures. For Japanese 11 I will work towards achieving better habits than my previous classes. I will achieve this by finding time to studying, asking questions, and practicing.
