Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including my career. Knowing now a days many people know how to use the internet, anyone can find what happened to you 5, 10, or even 20 years ago with just searching up your name. Trying to get a job and the company finding out something bad could ruin my entire career. My digital choices include not oversharing, thinking before sharing, and thinking about how it could impact my life further on. These are the main questions I think about before sharing anything to avoid anything that could ruin my career. Lastly, some ways I build online relationships is to be positive towards others. This meaning not commenting disrespectful comments and overall, just keeping it all positive. Throughout this project, I’ve learned and thought of many ways how the internet can be good and bad but it all depends on how you choose and use the platform.
