Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
The design I made is an Infographic design. I created using the desktop app, Word. I also used a mobile app called, Phonto to get the fonts. I transferred all the images and words from my phone to my computer. I wanted my Digital Footprint poster to be fun to read and appealing to the viewers. In this poster, I wrote about how a Digital Footprint can impact our relationships, reputation, and the future.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are checking on my friends if I didn’t have the chance to see them in person. For example, if my friend was absent, I can fill them in on what they missed through out the day. I can put in my effort to make small conversation with new friends or classmate to get to know each other and a build a relationship. I can keep contact by texting frequently or calling once in a while.
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences. Such as building a relationship with an online friend but revealing confidential information about myself can be unsafe. So I adjust my actions by respectfully being on topic that does not involve personal information about myself.
I make digital ethical choices such as, keeping my social media account private, restricting people that I do not know, and made sure that only people that I allow can view my story. Whenever I play a online game, I make sure to use a fake name for my own safety.
