Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
This infographic shows you what a digital footprint is, it’s significance, and how to create a positive digital footprint. It gives you tips on privacy, kindness, and oversharing. To create this infographic, I used the website Canva. I found Canva very easy to use and navigate since it has hundreds of different templates you can use.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences including future jobs and creeps online, so I adjust my actions to think before I post, make my social media accounts private, and treat others with kindness. Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include not giving out any personal information, not oversharing, and googling myself every so often to see what pops up. My online support network is helpful to me mostly for school work and entertainment. I can use it for research and better understanding of something.
