  • develop and refine research skills
  • develop collaboration and networking skills
  • reach beyond conventional course boundaries
  • develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • work with others who share similar interests on a local or global basis
  • work with community members
  • add a unique dimension to their portfolio
  • develop skills that prepare them for post-secondary success

Foundations of Inquiry 11

Foundations of Inquiry 11 is an opportunity for students to learn about the inquiry process as well as complete an inquiry-based project into a topic or learning area of their choice. Previous students have researched sustainable development goals, built trailers, created lessons and presentations, started a business, written stories, made movies, organized programs or events, served their community and worked on a school-wide area of growth (like Equity and Inclusion, Academic programming, Showcasing student learning or Health and Wellness).

*Please note: Interested students may take Foundations of Inquiry as a regular elective for 1 semester OR as a 9th course outside of the regular timetable during CENT time for the full year. Indicate your preference on the course selection sheet.
