Core Competency Goals

One strategy or activity that stimulates my imagination is… music. I get a lot out of music in my life simply by listening to it. I use music as background music while working or if I want to block out my environment and enjoy some alone time. So music is a great way to help me stimulate my imagination.

When I need to boost my mood or re-focus, I… I take some time to myself and practice the 4-7-8 breathing method. I take a 4 second breath in, hold it for 7 seconds, and then let it out for 8 seconds. I can refocus and take a break using this method.

Some of the things I do to stay mentally and physically healthy include… eating healthy and exercising. I try to exercise at least 3-4 times a week and recently I have cut down the amount of fast food I consume. This is helping me both stay physically and mentally healthy.
