This school year I have done really well in my courses. I am currently sitting at 100% in two of my classes this semester and am really proud of myself for my academic achievements. I have had to overcome many challenges in my classes, but these only helped me to grow, learn, refle and know when to ask for help.
I received my British Columbia Minor Box Lacrosse Referee Level 1 certification earlier this year. I have been a box lacrosse referee for three years now and this allows me to overlook and manage higher level games and make more money.
My field lacrosse team and I attended a national field lacrosse tournament this past January in Palm Springs, California. We played against teams from all over the United States and played third in our division.
Areas to Improve
Goals:
Action Plans:
I want to continue to improve my study habits
I will do this by procrastinating as little as possible and creating study and homework schedules to stay on top of my work. I have found that creating lists highly benefits my education and keeps me motivated to work.
I want to read more books
I will do this by making time in my schedule to allow myself the space to read. I hope that I will be able to work towards this goal a little bit each week. I really like enjoy reading however, sometimes I struggle with finding time to do so.
I want to have a memorable senior year
I will do this by managing my time properly so I will be able to have a good social and school life. My education is really important to me however, I also want to create long-lasting memories.

Curricular Competencies Reflection
Comprehend and ConnectÂ
Before this project I was highly oblivious to place conscious learning and my knowledge on the land I live, work, and play on. I really enjoyed getting to pick some of my favourite outdoor locations in BC to dig deeper and research. I learned all about the historic nations and peoples of the land I reside on which grew my appreciation for my home even more. I grew in my reading and viewing skills from this project by finding reliable resources and analyzing them to compile together informative points for my PowerPoint. I will take my new knowledge of place conscious learning to teach others and to work towards reconciliation within my community.
Core Competencies Reflection
Personal Awareness and Responsibility
I really enjoyed doing this project and independently researching but always knew when to advocate for myself and ask questions. Whenever I got stuck or was confused on what to do I always went to my peers and asked them for help when needed. I monitored myself and my class time to make sure I had enough to complete this assignment by the due date without having to work on it at home. If there was anything I could improve on for next time, it would have to be trying to be more adventurous in my writing. I tend to stay true to one writing style without creating texts of various genres, styles or forms which I think would help elevate my project for next time.
Whenever I want something in my life to be different I make the necessary changes to achieve that goal. If I put time and effort into my goals I believe I can achieve them. Organization and productivity being some of my biggest strengths are helpful in situations such as these because they assure that I will be determined and successful. Taking time for myself is really important to keep me grounded and calm when I am under a lot of pressure or stress. Writing notes, making lists, having people hold me accountable and creating smaller goals are all strategies I am using to monitor the progress of my goals. I take my education seriously by studying, setting reminders, asking questions and talking to my teachers about how I can become a learner. Academic validation is something I feel I need to continue be a better person everyday and am always striving to succeed.
I created an infographic using Canva. I screenshotted it to add it in my EduBlog. My infographic poster explains what a positive digital footprint is and tools to achieve one.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include, turning my phone off an hour before bed, talking to my friends to stay connected, and giving myself limits to decrease the amount of time on my phone. I do these sorts of things to monitor the amount of technology I use and fix what I think needs improvement.
By asking friends and family for their consent before posting on any social media platforms, I make a positive difference to my peers. Doing this makes them feel more comfortable and more aware of their online identity. Whenever friends and family ask for my permission before posting a photo or video of me it makes me feel valued and respected.
I know that my digital footprint can have both negative and positive consequences, such as missed job opportunities, false rumors, or something as simple as a bad photo, so I adjust my actions to secure my online identity. Some things I do to ensure my online identity is safe include having all accounts private, using strong passwords, and only allowing people I know in real life to see what I post and share online. I take these precautions to help me feel safe and secure whenever I am posting or sharing parts of my life online.
